What are the important details when purchasing thin-walled molds?

1. Wear resistance: Thin walled molds need to work under high pressure, so they require sufficient strength to resist deformation and fracture.

2. Toughness: Thin walled molds require multiple operations under high temperature and pressure, therefore requiring fatigue resistant materials. At the same time, the mold also needs to have a certain degree of toughness in order to be less prone to breakage during use.

3. High temperature performance: When the working temperature of the mold is high, it will cause a decrease in hardness and strength, leading to early wear or plastic deformation of the mold and failure.

4. Corrosion resistance: Some molds, such as plastic molds, may decompose and precipitate strong corrosive gases such as HCI and HF due to the presence of chlorine, fluorine, and other elements in the plastic during operation. These gases can corrode the surface of the mold cavity, increase its surface roughness, and exacerbate wear and failure.
